SpongeBob wants to spend time with his friends, but when he ends up being nothing but a nuisance, he decides it's time to pack up and leave Bikini Bottom forever. On his way out of town, SpongeBob takes a bad fall off of a cliff and bumps his head, knocking him unconscious. When he wakes up, he finds himself in a strange new city called New Kelp City, with a case of total amnesia. Back in Bikini Bottom, Patrick, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, and Squidward decide to go and find SpongeBob to get him home, but when they do find him, he has no memory of ever meeting them before. Now, SpongeBob must decide whether to stay in New Kelp City as its hero or to go back home with his friends.
